Static Frequency Converters

S.E.T. can produce inverters and frequency converters for a number of applications including (but not limited to) Aircraft Ground Power Services, Marine Applications - Ship to Shore Conversion and Industrial Processes.

There are numerous requirements to convert national mains power frequencies (50 and 60Hz) or generated power to a different frequency to supply specialist requirements such as the 400Hz for aircraft, radar, control and missile purposes. A further marine requirement is for dockside conversion to enable ships systems to operate from a shore supply when in harbour. Some industrial processes require high frequencies to generate induced heat for welding and coating applications, this is called induction heating.

S.E.T. offer frequency converters to provide any frequency for these applications in an output power range of up to 150Kva, built to specific customer requirements. Variable frequency outputs are a speciality.

Each S.E.T. frequency converter is supplied with input and output protection, under / over voltage and overload tripping. Output frequency is closely controlled to better than +/- 1% with waveform distortion and harmonics reduced to acceptable levels. Compliance with EMC requirements, DEFSTANS and appropriate B.S. standards is offered for all applications.

PLEASE NOTE: Whatever your requirements S.E.T. will offer a solution to suit your specification.

S.E.T. are quality assurance accredited to BS/EN/ISO 9001 : 2000 certificate number FM 60105
