S.E.T.
have a department which specialises in the repair
of control systems where the OEM either no longer
exists or no longer supports their product.
Many
of these products are more than 20 years old, and
therefore replacement parts can be difficult or impossible
to obtain. S.E.T. carry out repairs on these products
using modern day components. This is usually done
by redesigning sections of the original circuit to
carry out the required functions using currently obtainable
components. The resultant repairs are effected on
a Fit, Form and Function basis.
S.E.T.
are proud to be contractors for this type of work
to the M.O.D. and the Rail Industry and repaired /
modified equipment can be found on a number of Royal
Naval vessels and on R.A.F. installations.
Battery
chargers and electronic power control equipment are
also regularly repaired.
