S.E.T. have developed Static Frequency Converters for a variety of applications – aircraft ground power services, marine shore to ship conversion and various industrial applications.  Our converters can be supplied to suit either standard commercial requirements or more stringent military specifications with a power range from 3kVAto 200kVA.  We are able to provide higher power converters if required using tried and tested technology. 

From 100kVA 400hz units in arduous conditions providing power for induction heating rigs used in pipeline assembly lines to 175kVA 50/60hz units supplying shore power to emergency vessels at oil exploration sites in the Caspian Sea, S.E.T. Static Frequency Converters accurately provide output frequency to a tolerance of +/- 1%, irrespective of input frequency variations. 

Waveform distortion and harmonics are reduced to levels acceptable to most relevant standards including the appropriate Ministry of Defence DEFSTANS and BS specifications where applicable.

Output voltage is also controlled to the specified regulated voltage irrespective of input variations, load variations or temperature changes.  Particular care is taken to prevent high frequency voltage spikes that could damage sensitive equipment.
